What the vet's rabies certificate should show

MCD ties the registration to the rabies vaccination: the certificate runs for at most a year and ends with the vaccination 13. So plan the two together. Get the yearly rabies booster before the next due date on the vet's certificate, then renew on the portal with the new certificate and a fresh photo of you with your dog 2.

Renew within a month of expiry. After that, MCD adds ₹100 for every month of delay 12.

If you buy or adopt a dog that is already registered, the registration does not move to you. You apply afresh, using the previous owner's certificate and rabies papers. If the dog's rabies vaccination is about to run out, MCD asks you to get the booster first 3.
